While he appreciated the idea of regular physical exercise, he couldn't bring himself to develop a routine with it, constantly going in and out of phases. He had a terrible smoking habit, one that he was sick and tired of having. Even lacking some sort of shit job, half the time he felt trapped inside of his skull, as if the real him was trying to claw its way out, surfacing for only an instant before being crammed back inside by the dark entity of self-repression. He slowly began to realize that things were not that simple.

He quit his job thinking that he would have time to pursue all the things he desired, live the life of someone free of the shackles of a daily grind. He was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. A bolt of 99.9 percent pure energy that would allow him to take the planet under his control and shape his destiny to whatever he desired. He wished there was some master-switch he could flip in his brain, as if there was some kind of chemical/spiritual/psychological glitch that could be reset with a simple thought. Not in the literal sense of course, but no matter where he stood, with whatever group he was currently spending time with, he rarely felt human, or at least like anything resembling the humans he was surrounded by. His schoolwork, a girl he just met, the dinner he had with his uncle earlier that evening. So many things would go through his mind. He would sit on his couch for hours on end, sipping on green tea with Beethoven's Ninth blasting in the background and simply stare off into space, not sure what to do with himself.

He had absolutely no idea how to remove himself from the void, thus over-indulging in alcohol and dealing with occasional bouts of depression that would last for weeks at a time.

He had so many ideas, such enthusiasm, such potential for an almost endless array of creative pursuits, the only problem being motivation and a lack of energy that decayed his will-power to the point of entropy.
